Non-urgent advice: COVID-19 Notice
Please call us for advice in the usual way. We are OPEN for all non coronavirus enquiries. Although we may not see you in the practice, we are happy to help on the phone, via video link or via Online Consult (see below). If the clinician needs to see you to further manage your problem, a face to face appointment will be arranged for you.
From the 19th of July patients will still need to wear a mask/face covering, socially distance and follow all other infection prevention and control measures we have in place. All staff will continue to do the same.
We understand this may be frustrating as the rest of the country ‘unlocks’ but we know that when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable (and some cannot receive the Covid-19 vaccination due to medical reasons).
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make Belmont Medical Centre as safe as possible for our patients and staff.
Over the past few weeks, in Herefordshire, we have seen an increase in people testing positive for Covid-19.
We must continue to protect our patients and staff, and we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions that can protect people.
We need to keep our surgery as safe as we can to be able to provide such an essential service.
COVID Booster Vaccines
FLU VACCINES 2021
We are pleased to confirm, following initial delays with delivery, that we have started to receive some supplies of flu vaccines. Clinics are being planned around vaccine availability and our capacity to give them. We will be contacting eligible patients during the coming weeks.
You may receive a text from us from time to time, asking for an update on your details such as smoking status or ethnic origin. It is not a scam so please reply if you are able.
An example that we sent out recently is below:
“We need up-to-date ethnicity details from our patients to help us manage our COVID-19 response. This information will also be helpful in managing your health in the future. The following questions ask about this.

You’ll need internet on your phone (or you can open the link on a computer). If you cannot open it, please contact us.
