Our nurses can be seen by appointment which are generally available 8.30am – 1pm and 2pm – 6pm Monday to Friday.
The Practice Nurses are highly skilled and are taking more and more work that in the past has been done by doctors. To give them time to do this work, our Healthcare Assistants now do the work that the Practice Nurses did in the past.
When making an appointment with the Practice Nurse you will be asked what you are seeing the nurse for. This enables staff to make an appointment with the appropriately trained member of the nursing team and for the appropriate length of time. Some procedures such as dressings, smears and travel vaccinations require a longer appointment time.
